Rampify vs Profound
Profound is the enterprise AI visibility dashboard. Rampify is the tool that turns every visibility gap into a shipped spec.
Both tools probe how LLMs describe your brand. Profound reports what it found. Rampify reports and generates the content, technical, and distribution specs that close the gap — in the same workflow.

Where Profound is stronger today
An honest comparison names the places the incumbent leads. Three of them matter.
Broader LLM coverage, shipping today
Profound Enterprise tracks 10+ engines: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Meta AI, Grok, and DeepSeek. Rampify Phase 1 focuses on Claude because our sub-agents run on the user’s own subscription — zero marginal cost. We’ll expand model coverage in Phase 4. If you need breadth across every surface right now, Profound leads.
SourceThe Prompt Volumes dataset
Profound’s Prompt Volumes estimates how often real users ask specific questions of LLMs — a proprietary dataset no competitor currently matches. For a large enterprise modeling category demand, this is genuinely differentiated. Our methodology measures response shape and narrative on queries you supply; we don’t claim to estimate real user query frequency across the full internet.
SourceEnterprise customer density and social proof
Profound publishes named customers like MongoDB, Figma, Zapier, Ramp, Indeed, and DocuSign — and claims roughly 10% of the Fortune 500. That’s deep enterprise validation. Rampify is early stage and dogfooded. If your procurement team weighs customer logos heavily, this is a fair advantage.
SourceWhere Rampify is stronger
Six advantages, all downstream of one insight: visibility data is only useful if it’s shaped by your category and wired to what your team ships this week.
Your questions, your personas, your plan
Profound’s strongest asset is Prompt Volumes — a vendor-defined dataset of what they think your users ask. Rampify gives you the primitives — research plans, personas, seed prompts with {{keyword}} and {{competitor}} placeholder expansion, research modes — and you compose the research yourself. Write the questions your buyers actually ask. Define personas beyond the two we ship. Version plans as you learn what works. Rampify is an open system shaped by your results, not a panel curated by someone who doesn’t know your category.
Every gap becomes a pre-filled spec
Profound tells you Rampify isn’t mentioned in comparison queries. Rampify tells you that too, and generates the spec — with the query, the response, the competitor pages cited, and a suggested outline — that a writer or agent can execute without re-gathering context. This is the closed loop no dashboard-only tool can match without building a second product.
The loop learns. Each session teaches the next.
A Rampify research session isn’t a one-shot report. Plans are versioned. Sessions are immutable snapshots you can compare over time. New intents discovered in sub-agent responses flow back as new seed prompts. The system gets sharper the longer you use it — shaped by your results, not frozen at vendor-onboarding time.
Cross-surface gap routing
Not every visibility gap is a content problem. Sometimes the page exists but isn’t indexed. Sometimes LLMs cite community threads we have no presence in. Sometimes a sub-agent gets blocked by a Cloudflare wall that prevents any AI from reading the site at all. Rampify routes each gap to the right fix type — content, technical, distribution, or narrative. Profound surfaces visibility signal; it doesn’t distinguish between these very different problems.
MCP-native, conversational, in-flow
Rampify is built on the Model Context Protocol. Your Claude Code / Cursor / ChatGPT agent calls plan_discovery_research directly in-conversation, spawns sub-agents to execute, and records results back — all in the same chat you’re already in. Research happens where the work happens. Profound has a REST API; it doesn’t fit natively into an agent workflow.
Fresh-context methodology with a full audit trail
Synthetic prompt panels that have been told which brand they’re studying return biased results. Rampify spawns an isolated sub-agent per query, with only persona + prompt, no project context. And every query, response, tool call, and citation is stored and readable — no aggregate score without the underlying trace. A “no mention” signal is trustworthy because you can see exactly how we got there.
Integrated, not isolated — one graph, one funnel
Rampify reads from Google Ads keyword volume, GSC actual-query strings, business profile ICP + competitor data, page intelligence, and indexation state — then writes gaps back as specs. A visibility finding gets routed through a five-layer funnel (does the page exist / is it indexed / does it rank / do LLMs cite it / is the narrative right) so a content spec never gets generated for an unindexed page. Profound is a standalone dashboard; this join happens somewhere else or not at all. See the funnel on /discovery-optimization.
How the methodology actually differs
The category is noisy. SparkToro ran 2,961 prompt runs across ChatGPT, Claude, and AI Overviews in January 2026 and found fewer than 1 in 100 returned the same brand list, fewer than 1 in 1,000 in the same order. Source. That sets the baseline for any tool in this category: a single query’s rank is noise. Only aggregate mention frequency and narrative shape are defensible signal.
Profound: Prompt Volumes panel
Profound’s flagship method runs a curated panel of prompts — estimated from real user query patterns — against target LLMs on a schedule, and reports share of voice and citations over time.
Strength: the panel’s calibration against real query frequency is a genuinely proprietary dataset. Trade-off: panel prompts are synthetic; the model may have biases the panel doesn’t exercise.
Rampify: fresh-context sub-agents
Each query runs in an isolated sub-agent with zero knowledge of your brand. We probe in both training-only and search-grounded modes so the result distinguishes weights-level recall from current discoverability.
Strength: no panel bias, direct diagnostic of two orthogonal visibility signals. Trade-off: we don’t yet estimate real user query frequency at Profound’s scale.
Which one should you pick?
Choose Profound if…
- You are an enterprise team with $2K–$5K+/month budget for AI visibility specifically.
- You need the broadest possible model coverage (10+ engines) shipping today.
- The Prompt Volumes real-user-query dataset is critical to your category modeling.
- You have a dedicated GEO / visibility team that consumes dashboard reports.
- Your procurement prefers contract-based enterprise relationships.
- You weight named-customer social proof heavily in vendor selection.
Choose Rampify if…
- You want the research wired directly into the content, technical, and distribution work that fixes gaps.
- Your team uses AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) and wants an MCP-native tool.
- Visibility data needs to join against your existing Search Console, keyword, and page data.
- You prefer a vendor whose incentives align with yours — we don’t charge per prompt, so we don’t push prompt volume.
- You want to start now without enterprise procurement overhead.
- You value closing the loop over broadest-possible model coverage in Phase 1.
Frequently asked questions
What is the main difference between Profound and Rampify?
Profound is an AI visibility dashboard — it tells you what LLMs say about your brand and shows share of voice over time. Rampify does that too, but every gap we detect also produces a pre-filled feature spec your developer or AI agent can execute directly. Profound is the best-in-class reporting layer. Rampify is the loop that turns the report into shipped content and technical fixes.
Is Profound more accurate than Rampify?
Accuracy in this category is about methodology, not vendor. Profound uses a "Prompt Volumes" panel to estimate real user query frequency — that’s a genuine advantage for large enterprises modeling demand. Rampify uses fresh-context sub-agents per query, which eliminates a common bias in synthetic prompt panels (the model having been told what brand is being studied). Both approaches produce useful signal; they answer slightly different questions.
When should I choose Profound over Rampify?
Choose Profound if you are an enterprise team with budget for $2,000–$5,000+/month, need the broadest possible LLM coverage (10+ engines including DeepSeek, Grok, Meta AI, AI Mode), want the Prompt Volumes dataset to estimate real user query frequency, and are comfortable with contract-based procurement. Profound raised $58.5M from Khosla, Kleiner Perkins, NVIDIA, and Sequoia and serves 700+ enterprise customers including ~10% of the Fortune 500 — the enterprise story is real.
When should I choose Rampify over Profound?
Choose Rampify if you want the visibility research wired directly into the work that fixes the gap, if your team already works in AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) and wants an MCP-native tool, if you need the visibility layer to join against your existing Search Console / keyword / page data, or if you are a lean team that can’t justify enterprise pricing. Rampify also has a free tier that runs on your own Claude subscription — no per-research charges from us.
Can I use both?
Yes. Profound is dashboard-first and optimized for executive reporting and broad model coverage. Rampify is workflow-first and optimized for turning findings into shipped work. A team with enterprise scale might use Profound for executive reporting and Rampify for the execution layer underneath.
Does Rampify cost less than Profound?
Rampify has a free tier (2 sessions/month on your own Claude subscription) and paid plans designed for teams that don’t need enterprise-grade procurement. Profound self-serve starts at $99/month (Starter, ChatGPT-only) and scales to $2,000–$5,000+/month for the full platform with API access. On a like-for-like feature comparison at the mid-market tier, Rampify is typically the lower cost of ownership — partly because there’s no separate spec-writing tool to buy.
